Remembering and understanding: Insights into Jewish life in Bocholt

Exhibition "And they were our neighbours..." inspires reflection // Until 27 January at "LernWerk Bocholt" // Free admission

A special exhibition can be seen in Bocholt until 27 January. Entitled "And they were our neighbours", it provides insights into the history of the Jewish population in Bocholt.

The exhibition tells the story of her life and work, but also sheds light on the suffering and crimes committed during the Nazi era. Numerous exhibits, including contemporary documents and personal stories, convey a vivid picture of the reality of the time.

Insights into the history of the city

The exhibition illustrates how closely Jewish life was interwoven with the history of Bocholt. It is aimed at all generations and offers the opportunity to develop a better understanding of living together in diversity, according to the organisers.

The exhibition can be visited until 27 January. Admission is free and registration is not required. The opening hours are listed on the special exhibition page.

Further information can be found on the exhibition theme page at www.bocholt.de/undsiewarenunserenachbarn.
