New day carers start work after successfully completing their training

Part-time qualification takes 1.5 years

Six participants have now successfully completed their qualification as child day carers. They can now get started as child day carers.

The city of Bocholt relies on qualified childcare when it comes to promoting child daycare - and therefore offers an in-service qualification as a childminder. In addition to theoretical content, participants also complete practical assignments. "The programme lasts around one and a half years and can be completed part-time", says Rabea Seelig from the Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre (VHS).

"We are delighted that we are bringing together so many committed players with our qualification programme", says VHS division manager Isabel Testroet. This gives children and their families the opportunity "to access qualified daycare", says Testroet.

This spring, graduates Ulrike Biskup, Tehmina Butt, Stefanie Reißing, Tanja Schaffeld, Bianka Schneider and Chantal Übbing, together with their lecturers Dorothee König and Melanie Ostendorf, are delighted to have successfully passed the colloquium.
