On Thursday, 10 October, the adult education centre (VHS) Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg invites you to a lecture by marine and shark conservationist Marion Harder entitled "Dive Your Dream - Fascination Underwater World". The venue is the Bocholt Media Centre, Hindenburgstr. 5, at 19:30.
Beneath the surface of the oceans, a fascinating, uniquely alien world awaits discovery: billowing kelp forests, bottomless blue, a variety of fish, impressive whales, huge schools of sardines, tiny crabs, colourful snails and corals and much more. For centuries, people have been diving down into this fascinating world to search for food, find sunken ships, conduct scientific experiments or explore a coral reef on holiday.
Marion Harder succumbed to the fascination of diving years ago. She is a diving instructor and a volunteer marine and shark conservationist. At the same time, her name stands for professional "Underwater Photography". In her lecture, she takes you on a diving safari to the most beautiful underwater paradises in the world - from the Canary Islands to the Maldives, from Australia to Mexico. Unique image impressions and an expert commentary put the marine ecosystem centre stage: its diverse inhabitants with a focus on sharks, its endangerment and marine conservation.
The entrance fee is 6 euros. Please book in advance to reserve a seat at www.vhs-bocholt.de. Remaining tickets are available at the box office.
