Lecture on digitalisation in the healthcare sector

On Wednesday, 6 November, the adult education centre (VHS) Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg invites you to a lecture entitled "Digitalisation in healthcare - the e-prescription and more" by Dr Michael Adam at 19:30 in the Bocholt media centre (Hindenburgstr. 5). The entrance fee is 3 euros.
Today's medicine is undergoing a revolutionary change that can be both beneficial and detrimental. Digitalisation and artificial intelligence - no one will be able to escape this. Especially those citizens who find it difficult to come to terms with such innovations need support.
The presentation describes the current status of digital developments in the healthcare sector in order to allay any fears. In particular, the speaker will provide up-to-date information on the introduction of the electronic patient file (ePA) from February 2025. The handling and advantages of e-prescriptions, health cards, medication plans, video consultations and online appointments will also be explained.

About the speaker
Dr Michael Adam was a general practitioner in Bocholt until 2018. He is still represented on various medical committees. From 2018 to 2023, he was Managing Director of the BOHRIS doctors' network. Since 2021, he has been deputy chairman of the city of Bocholt's Senior Citizens' Advisory Council, and since 2022 he has been a board member of the NRW e. V. senior citizens' organisation.
