Jazz concert at Lernwerk for the first time

Music fans, watch out: On Thursday, 6 March, the popular concert series "BOHJazz" will take place for the first time at Bocholter Lernwerk (Industriestraße 1, adjacent building). It starts at 8 pm and admission is free.

This time, the trio centred around jazz guitarist Christian Hassenstein is delighted to be joined by guest soloist Joachim Lenhardt on saxophone. The audience can look forward to extraordinary sounds and the special dynamics of this exciting musical combination. The city of Bocholt would like to point out that the concert will take place in the adjoining building of the Lernwerk. Access is via the rear entrance on the banks of the River Aa.

About the guest soloist Lenhardt

Joachim Lenhardt, born in Esslingen in 1983, completed his studies at the Nuremberg University of Music under Professor Klaus Graf and Professor Hubert Winter. He graduated with a diploma in jazz saxophone in 2008, followed by a masterclass diploma in 2010.

As co-initiator and long-standing board member of the Nuremberg musicians' network "Metropolmusik e.V.", Lenhardt played a formative role in promoting the regional jazz scene. For this commitment, he received the Nuremberg Scholarship of the Culture Prize in 2013.

Lenhardt regularly works with renowned musicians and ensembles, including Rebecca Trescher Tentett, Subway Jazz Orchestra, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Yara Linss, Peter Fulda, The Big Leppinski, Ensemble Kontraste, Werner Heider, Thilo Wolf, the Sunday Night Orchestra and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. He is also involved in radio and CD productions.

He currently lives and works as a freelance musician, teacher and web designer in Cologne.
