Cross-border art project: register by Wednesday
Deadline extended // Funded project on both sides of the border
Artists have until Wednesday 4 September to register to take part in a cross-border art project next year. The German and Dutch artists will then get to know each other at a "Matching Day" on Saturday, 7 September.
The Matching Day will take place on Saturday, 7 September, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Grenzblickatelier at Hahnenpatt 2. All interested artists are cordially invited to attend and be inspired to take part in the art project, which is due to take place next spring!
To register, simply send a short email with your contact details to the curator Verena Winter(kurator(at)grenz-blick(dot)eu).
The art project is directly linked to the celebrations of "80 years of peace & freedom" in 2025. The number 8 is also to be understood symbolically here: The end of World War 2 on 8 May 1945; the lying eight, the symbol of infinity; 8 artist duos who will create 8 sculptures.
The prerequisite for participation is that artists join together to form German-Dutch artist tandems (artist duos) in order to realise the project theme together in the form of sculptures.
The project is financially supported by the European Union and the Interreg partners as part of the Germany-Netherlands Interreg programme.
