BOHJazz on Thursday in the Skylounge

The trio of jazz guitarist Christian Hassenstein plays every two months at Textil Werk, Industriestrasse 5 in 46395 Bocholt. The guest soloist for this concert is jazz trumpeter Gerard Kleijn.

Curious visitors can once again look forward to interesting compositions by this unique combination. On Thursday, 02.03.2023, Gerard Kleijn will be a guest on trumpet with Christian Hassenstein on guitar, Sven Schuster on bass and Franc auf dem Brinke on drums. The event is supported by the Stadtsparkasse Bocholt.

The soloist

Gerard Kleijn is a Dutch jazz trumpeter and composer. He studied jazz trumpet in Hilversum, Rotterdam and later in New York. He has had much success with his music not only throughout Europe, but also internationally. He has already played in Syria, Mexico, Russia and the United States. Early on, he led his own groups and recorded 12 CDs as (co-)bandleader, with his own compositions. Gerard Kleijn is a frequent accompanist of ensembles and big bands. He is also a dedicated trumpet teacher, workshop leader and conductor of several big bands.
