Big rush for Bocholt Culture Days 2023

Once again in 2023, many Bocholt residents and out-of-town guests visited the Bocholt Culture Days in front of the Historic Town Hall, which were organised by the City of Bocholt.

The popular NNTheatre kicked off the series of events on the packed market square. Jazz music combined with the evening market on Thursday offered a successful symbiosis of culinary and musical delights.

On Saturday evening, the "Silent Disco" took place in summery temperatures. More than 400 visitors danced and celebrated together with three DJs. Passers-by also visibly enjoyed watching this special party atmosphere and some spontaneously decided to borrow headphones and join in.

The Bocholt Culture Days concluded with two puppet shows and the CityArt art market. In the best summer weather, a total of 400 young and old visitors were able to attend the puppet show by the ensemble "Die Complizen".

"Of course, the beautiful summer weather played into our hands again this year," summed up Bocholt's cultural manager Oliver Brenn. According to Brenn, this helped to attract many culture enthusiasts as well as new visitors to Bocholt's city centre. "The predominantly positive feedback has shown us that we did a lot right in the programme selection," Brenn continued. Bocholt's first city councillor Thomas Waschki is pleased that the path with many cooperations at the individual events has been successful: "This has resulted in many positive synergy effects this year and last year."

The 2024 Culture Days will take place from 28 August to 1 September. Not too much is being revealed about the programme yet. According to Brenn, the programme will again include familiar events, but also something new for as many age and interest groups as possible.
