Adult Education Centre Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg receives seal of quality again
Quality of the municipal educational institution officially tested and certified
The Adult Education Centre Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg (VHS) offers further education for all at a high level. The municipal educational institution was subjected to an intensive quality audit and has now received confirmation of its quality in the form of an official certificate.
After the first certification in 2008, the VHS successfully underwent the re-certification in June 2023, which is valid for another three years.
Demanding criteria
After a thorough document review and a two-day on-site quality management inspection, the Adult Education Centre was repeatedly confirmed to meet the demanding requirements. "We are very pleased about this positive feedback. The certification illustrates the quality and customer-oriented work we do at all three locations. Our goal is to continue to offer customised programmes that are of interest to all citizens and to position ourselves for the future and open to development," says Adult Education Centre Director Isabel Testroet.
According to the Continuing Education Act, it is mandatory for every Adult Education Centre to have an external quality audit. "One of the primary goals of the Adult Education Centre Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg is to ensure high quality in its educational work. Comprehensive quality management does not only refer to the continuous and systematic process of content and programme orientation, but also encompasses the entire organisation with all processes and work structures," explains VHS Quality Officer Fatma Boland.
The quality auditor visits the Adult Education Centre every year and subjects it to a comprehensive analysis every three years. Documents, programmes and buildings are discussed.
Further expansion of VHS offers planned
The re-certification enables the Adult Education Centre Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg to expand its offers in the area of integration and languages in line with demand. Particularly in the area of integration courses, which is in great demand due to the current global political situation, it is necessary to guarantee a high standard of quality.
The educational institution proves once again that it reacts flexibly to current and future challenges, says Isabel Testroet: "Against the background of economic, social and cultural processes of change, diverse, lifelong and life-long learning is becoming indispensable."
About the VHS
The Adult Education Centre Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg sees itself as a centre of further education for all citizens and facilitates individual and collective education. To this end, it takes the needs and interests of the Bocholt, Rhede and Isselburg customers and combines them with the requirements of the North Rhine-Westphalia Further Education Act, the specifications of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees and the educational goals and content of the German Adult Education Association. "The exchange with our participants and network partners is especially close to our hearts, because only in this way can we pick up people with their concerns and inclinations and create a varied and rich programme together with our committed course teams twice a year," emphasises Testroet and looks forward to the 2nd study semester 2023, which starts on 28 August.
