3,517 kilometres through Europe with child and cone

Professional photographer presents impressive multivision show on 17 February in Bocholt // Order tickets now

On Monday, 17 February, professional photographer André Schumacher will be making a guest appearance in Bocholt with his live show entitled "Wild Europe - 3,517 km with child and cone". The venue is the auditorium of the Bocholt comprehensive school, starting at 19:30.

The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre, Stadtsparkasse Bocholt and the BBV Media Group are jointly organising this event.

André Schumacher presents the story of a crazy road trip through Europe with a lot of humour and impressive pictures. He tells of leaving familiar structures and realising his dreams, of comfort zones and borderline experiences. About taking life into your own hands and embracing it in all its fullness.

"Travelling addict"

Africa, Asia, South America, Antarctica - André Schumacher has travelled everywhere. Homeless. Intoxicated. For 20 years. Addicted to faraway places, to people, to stories. In 2013, he travelled through the Canary Islands from Lanzarote to El Hierro. On the third island he meets Jenni and on the seventh she is pregnant, and that's the end of the travelling life! Together they set off in search of a home, financed a farm through crowdfunding, planted trees and changed nappies. But André just can't stop travelling: Without further ado, he grabs the family and sets off again.

The three of them on an adventure trip

With a cargo bike, 10 kilos of nappies and an average speed of 1.26 km/h, the three of them travel from Bäbelin near Wismar to Pamplona in Spain. They camp in supermarket car parks, in nurseries and gyms, between Dolomite cliffs and Pyrenean peaks. They hitchhike on a container ship, meet weirdos and visionaries, are looked after by nuns and arrested by police officers shortly before reaching their destination - six months full of small and big adventures, challenges and disasters.

Great cinema

A story about life, love and the realisation of dreams - told in an original, funny and touching way. High-class photo impressions, film and time-lapse sequences, cartoons, interviews, historical photographs and maps, musical passages, original sounds and an equally well-founded and entertaining live commentary combine to create an audiovisual experience - presented as a multivision on a large screen.

The event starts at 7.30 pm, admission is from 7 pm. Adults pay 10 euros at the box office, schoolchildren and trainees 9 euros. Advance tickets (VVK) are reduced by one euro.
