Economic development/city marketing visits Christmasworld/Ambiente/Creativworld trade fairs in Frankfurt

At the beginning of the year, the Christmasworld, Creativworld and Ambiente trade fairs take place at the Frankfurt exhibition centre. Over 4,000 exhibitors from all over the world present innovative and original products from the areas of dining, giving and living, from the gifts and decorations segment for the Christmas season, as well as products from the hobby, craft and artists' sector.

It is the largest consumer goods show in Germany, with all the exhibition halls in Frankfurt filled with Christmas decorations, Christmas ornaments, Christmas lighting, consumer goods and gifts of all kinds, as well as decorative and utility items for the home, hobbies and gifts. Together with Ambiente and Creativworld, Christmasworld is the biggest annual trade fair in Frankfurt. A total of up to 200,000 visitors are expected at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre.

Ludger Dieckhues, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Stadtmarketing Gesellschaft Bocholt, visited the trade fairs on Friday for three reasons:

1) Firstly, when it comes to Christmas lighting, it is always important to keep up with the latest trends. "It is impressive what can be achieved with decoration, light and ambience. The effects are becoming more surprising, it's getting more colourful; with LED lighting and many decorative elements, there are crazy possibilities nowadays, but this also has its price," says Ludger Dieckhues. "The halls of the Frankfurt trade fair are packed with ideas and products that create atmosphere and emotion. Let's see if one or two additions to the Bocholt Christmas lights are possible."

2) Ludger Dieckhues also met a number of city marketing colleagues from all over Germany, who used the trade fair for an initial exchange in 2025. "It is so important to think outside the box when it comes to the rapid changes in city centres, you can learn a lot from colleagues in other cities," says the Bocholt city marketing boss happily.

3) The companies of the Bocholt-based GILDE Group are still on site in Frankfurt until Tuesday. As one of the largest exhibitors at the Frankfurt Christmasworld, Ambiente and Creativworld trade fairs, the GILDE Group is presenting itself on 1,200 square metres with a newly designed, themed stand, the basic concept and many details of which were designed by Maximilian and Alexander Yazdtschi, who have been actively managing the business of the GILDE Group together with their parents Hamid Yazdtschi and Renee Macrander for some time. The products of GILDE Handwerk Macrander, Fink-Living and Casablanca will take centre stage at the trade fair in Frankfurt.

Alexander Yazdtschi, Managing Director of the GILDE Group, emphasises: "Christmasworld, Creativworld and Ambiente in Frankfurt are our most important trade fairs for the European market. This is where you experience trends, this is where we make trends! In Frankfurt, we meet many of our different customer groups, orders are placed in advance, and the autumn and Christmas decorating season is experienced here up to two years in advance." By the end of the fair, GILDE will have looked after around 3,000 customers with 80 people on the stand.

The Bocholt Economic Development Agency visited the GILDE stand and was impressed. "It is interesting and important for me as a business promoter to visit Bocholt companies at trade fairs and presentations from time to time. On the one hand, you learn a lot of new things about the industries, get an overview of the sales activities of the companies, the economic development itself and of course also show a certain appreciation for the company," says business promoter Ludger Dieckhues.
