Reuse day at the recycling centre
City of Bocholt invites to "ReUse Day" // Action with Makerspace and Repair Café
On Saturday, 22 April, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the waste advisory service of the waste disposal and service company, together with a team from the Makerspace and Repair Cafe at the recycling centre, will provide information about the possibilities of reuse.
100 years ago, there were about 150 things in a household. According to new studies, there are about 20,000 things in a household today. Many things are only used for a short time and then thrown away, even though they could still be put to good use. The reuse of used things is currently becoming more and more important. By using them for as long as possible, resources and energy for production are conserved. Re-use also relieves the burden on the wallet.
Re-use day at the recycling centre
On Saturday, 22 April, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the waste advisory service of the waste disposal and service company, together with the Makerspace and the Repair Café at the recycling centre, will provide information about the possibilities of reuse:
- Decorative items in good condition can be handed in for the bulky waste exchange at the information stand.
- The members of the Repair Café will point out the reparability of items brought along. There will be no repairs on site, but the 125th Repair Café will take place on the same day at the Fabi.
- Joris Bijkerk informs about the possibilities of the Makerspace for self-help and about different courses.
- In the entrance area of the recycling centre building, the "treasure shelf" invites visitors to put up and take away smaller decorative items.
