"Nettes and bric-a-brac" at the bulky waste exchange in Bocholt
Saturday, 25 May, from 10-12 a.m. in the vehicle hall of the waste disposal company
On Saturday, 25 May, the city of Bocholt invites you to this year's first bulky waste exchange. It will take place between 10am and 12pm in the vehicle hall of the waste disposal and service company (ESB) at Schaffeldstraße 74. Visitors will be able to browse for items in good condition.
The focus of the offer is on small decorative items. Waste consultant Petra Tacke from the organising waste disposal and service company is hoping for lots of visitors in a buying mood.
Collection for the bulky waste exchange
Over the past few weeks, the recycling centre staff have been on the lookout for items suitable for sale at the bulky waste exchange to ensure that the range of items on offer is as extensive as possible. The collection container is now well filled with lots of nice things, reports Tacke.
Sale for the Caritas residential care centres
The main purpose of the bulky waste exchange is to reuse items in good condition and thus promote sustainability. "The more things that can be reused, the better", says Tacke. All of the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange go to Caritas' inpatient help for children and young people. Caritas staff will be present at the event to answer any questions about the work of the inpatient centres.
Voluntary support from Bocholt associations
Volunteers support the ESB during the set-up and sale. For example, the Child Protection Association helps the waste advisor with the set-up. The THW youth is active as a steward and helps to tidy up after the exchange.
