Collection for next bulky waste exchange
Disposal and service company accepts items in good condition, especially winter and Christmas items
On 25 November, the next bulky waste exchange will take place in Bocholt, where well-preserved items can be purchased for little money. Anyone who would like to contribute items in good condition for this upcoming bulky waste exchange in advance can now hand them in to the Bocholt waste disposal and service company.
Collection of Christmas items
"We are happy to accept items for the upcoming bulky waste exchange so that we have a plentiful supply," says waste advisor Petra Tacke. "Ideally, these are decorative items with a Christmas or winter character." Experience shows that the small curiosities and decorative items are particularly popular. Discarded artificial Christmas trees, old sleighs, Christmas tree baubles, nutcrackers, tablecloths or Christmas crockery are all welcome. Not suitable are fairy lights and other electrical appliances, as these cannot be tested for function on site. To ensure that the items are transported gently, the ESB asks that they be delivered in sturdy cardboard boxes.
Acceptance of items for the exchange
Anyone who would like to sort out their Christmas items now can drop them off at the recycling centre during opening hours. Collection is not possible.
Opening hours of the recycling centre:
Closed on Mondays
Tuesday to Friday: 9 am - 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm
Proceeds for charity
On 25 November, the waste advisory service of Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt invites you to the winter and Christmas edition of the popular bulky waste exchange in the vehicle hall. Between 10-12 a.m., visitors will be able to rummage around and take home a bargain or two. Tacke: "With the bulky waste exchange, we are making a contribution to reuse and thus to reducing the considerable mountains of rubbish, especially during the Christmas season. What one person no longer likes, someone else finds particularly beautiful."
The items sold also serve a charitable purpose, as all the proceeds from the Bulky Waste Exchange go to a charitable institution. This time, the proceeds from the Christmas edition of the Bulky Waste Exchange go to Caritas' outpatient flexible educational support.
The money raised can be used to bring joy to the children and young people in their care during the Christmas season. Among other things, it can be used to finance excursions and activities for which the families do not have the money.
