Bargain shelf with Christmas decorations at the ESB
Well-preserved remaining items from the bulky waste exchange // Exchange also possible
A shelf with well-preserved Christmas decorations now stands in the entrance area of the recycling centre building of the waste disposal and service company (ESB). After the last bulky waste exchange, it is filled with all kinds of small items that were left over from the bulky waste exchange and are far too good for the rubbish bin. Visitors to the recycling centre can help themselves while stocks last.
You are also welcome to swap for parts you have brought with you. Only small parts in good condition are accepted. The decision as to whether something is suitable is made by the staff at the recycling centre.
"So if you're still looking for suitable Christmas decorations and beautiful Christmas tree baubles, you might just find what you're looking for on the "treasure shelf"," says waste consultant Petra Tacke. With this campaign, the ESB wants to encourage people to use things more carefully and sustainably before they are thrown away.
