After the bulky waste exchange: 1560 euros for the Omega association
Waste advisor Petra Tacke now handed over the proceeds of the ESB bulky waste exchange
Almost 1560 euros were collected at the latest edition of the popular bulky waste exchange organised by the Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb (ESB). The money is donated to charitable organisations after the event - this time the OMEGA Bocholt Hospice Foundation was chosen.
The Foundation uses the donation received for charitable and benevolent purposes, for example for the financial support of the seriously ill, the dying and their relatives, explains Chairwoman Michaela Schneider.
In the Edith Stein Hospice, dying people and their relatives are accompanied on their difficult journey. "Our help relieves the burden on the relatives and makes 'life to the end' possible," says Angelika Kathemann from the Omega association.
"I am pleased that the proceeds from the bulky waste exchange can make a small contribution to the hospice work in Bocholt," says waste advisor Petra Tacke, who now presented the symbolic cheque and the money on behalf of the city at the Edith Stein Hospice. The money was collected at the last bulky waste exchange on 30 September.
About the bulky waste exchange
At the bulky waste exchange, things were sold that had previously been accepted at the recycling centre. "Predominantly, these are decorative items, toys and household things," explains Tacke. The next bulky waste exchange is planned for 25 November. For this, things in good condition can already be handed in for sale at the ESB recycling centre. Petra Tacke is hoping for many Christmas items for the November exchange. The proceeds from the next sale will also be donated to a charitable organisation in Bocholt.
