PlayFountain finds its crowning finale with the Bocholt Wine Festival
After almost five successful and refreshing weeks, Bocholt's water fun is coming to an end. Numerous visitors, especially children, enjoyed the PlayFountain in Bocholt's city centre - regardless of the sometimes changeable weather, which brought both very sunny and a few rainy days. The Bocholt water fun was a real success in terms of family friendliness, increasing the quality of stay and cooling the city centre and offered many moments of joy and relaxation for families and friends.
The PlayFountain, which has been a popular meeting place for young and old since its inception, provided welcome cooling during the summer holidays, while the various water fountains and games at the PlayFountain made the children's hearts beat faster and their faces light up. Many photographers took pictures of the fountain and the historic town hall - Bocholt's landmark.
Crowning finale to Bocholt's water fun
As a "celebratory finale", the PlayFountain will shine in impressive light from Friday to Sunday together with the historic town hall. This special lighting creates a unique atmosphere and provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos. The PlayFountain will run until midnight on the three days with various show programmes. Visitors are cordially invited to capture these magical moments in photos and enjoy the atmospheric evenings on the market square.
The highlight of the final weekend is the Bocholt Wine Festival on St.-Georg-Platz on Sunday, which brings the water fun season to a fitting close. The wine festival invites visitors to savour exquisite wines in a convivial atmosphere and discover the diverse range on offer from regional winegrowers.
Musical finale with Sanda Vanreys
A special musical closing highlight awaits visitors on Sunday evening: all-round musician Sandra Vanreys will perform on the PlayFountain with her guitar and enchant the evening with her singing. Her sensitive melodies and the gentle sounds of her guitar will provide the perfect end to an eventful day and turn the evening into a special experience.
"We are very grateful for the numerous visitors who enthusiastically took advantage of Bocholt's water fun and look forward to celebrating the final weekend together", emphasises Ludger Dieckhues, Managing Director of Stadtmarketing Bocholt. "All citizens are cordially invited not to miss this special event weekend and to enjoy the last days of water fun and a visit to the wine festival to the full. And if the kids really did scream quite loudly, if the water really did splash quite loudly: let's all bear with it; the next generation had fun and enjoyment in the city centre - and that makes us happy, adds Dieckhues.
We would like to thank Bocholter Energie- und Wasserversorgung and Stadtsparkasse Bocholt for their support.
