Bocholt shines in Christmas splendour: Bocholt's Christmas market once again attracts many visitors to the city centre this year. On the third Sunday in Advent, 17 December, the shops in Bocholt city centre will open their doors from 1-6 p.m. and offer visitors a special shopping experience in a festive atmosphere.

The huts at the Christmas market offer Christmas delicacies and gift ideas. The treasure chest is located in front of the historic town hall - if the lock is opened, great prizes await the winner. Keys can be collected when shopping in participating shops in the city centre. Illuminated 3D animal motifs can be admired everywhere in the streets of the city centre - there are now 20 of them - and the town hall shines as a large Advent calendar. Numerous Christmas trees and Christmas smells create a special atmosphere.

On this day, the shops in the city centre, on Neutorplatz and in the shopping arcades entice visitors with special Christmas offers. Visitors can take their time to do their Christmas shopping and be enchanted by the festive atmosphere.
Parking in the entire city centre and in the multi-storey car parks is free on this day (except for the Stadtsparkasse underground car park). The StadtBusse Bocholt buses also run free of charge from 13.00-18.30 to make it easy for visitors to get to the market.

The weekly market will take place for four weeks from 21 November to 21 December on Gasthausplatz and in Osterstraße. It is not possible to relocate the market to Liebfrauenplatz due to the city garden construction site. The evening market will take place on St.-Georg-Platz during this time.
