Motto Thursday: Campfire Feeling on 02.11.

A cosy get-together around the campfire in the dark season - that's what Motto Thursday on 02.11.2023 has in store for all visitors to Bocholt's city centre from 3 to 7 pm. After the two successful Motto Thursdays on 7 September on the theme of "Culinary delights from Bocholt for shopping at home" and on 5 October on the theme of "Autumnal handicraft fun", the inner city community ISG Altstadt Bocholt e.V. is now devoting itself to the theme of "Campfire feeling with stick bread & marshmallows".

On the market square in front of the Historic Town Hall, four fire pits will be set up next to the market stalls and the wine cart at the evening market. At these fire pits you can simply warm up or bake stick bread from 3 to 7 pm. The scouts will be in charge of the fire bowls and will give out the stick bread dough and skewers to all visitors, young and old, free of charge. So a cosy afternoon is guaranteed.

In addition, all participating shops of the ISG Altstadt Bocholt e.V. will give out marshmallows to customers, which can then also be roasted at the evening market. Lanterns with candles in front of the shops support the "feeling" with soft candlelight and also get you in the mood for the open-for-sale Light Sunday, 05.11.23. The "DuoHawei" will also provide atmospheric live music - all visitors, customers and guests of the city can look forward to cosy moments around the bonfire - already a special experience in Bocholt's city centre.

"The motto "Campfire Feeling with Stickbrot and Marshmallows" simply fits into the somewhat grey time of year in November", says Mechtild Hoffs, 1st Chairwoman of ISG Altstadt Bocholt e.V. "We would like to give our customers a treat with the marshmallows and stickbread and, in addition to shopping in the city centre, also offer a shopping experience in Bocholt that is fun", Hoffs continues.

The last Motto Thursday this year is on 07 December - but a continuation in 2024 is planned.
