Bestselling author reads at "Night of Libraries" in Bocholt

At the end of the "Night of Libraries" on Friday, 4 April 2025, bestselling author Christian Herzog will present his political thriller "Action Phoenix" at Bocholt City Library. Tickets can be purchased in advance for 9 euros (box office 10 euros) via the homepage and at the adult education centre office as well as at the library.
On 4 April, the Night of Libraries 2025 will take place under the motto "Knowledge.Share.Discover", where all citizens throughout Germany are invited to discover the various offers of their local library. Bocholt City Library is taking part and is delighted to welcome author Christian Herzog to close the evening programme. As part of the event series "Bocholt liest!", he will present his political thriller "Aktion Phoenix" and take all interested parties on a journey to the Berlin of the 1936 Olympic Games.
Hermann Schmidt, an employee of the ministry, is supposed to present the image of the imperial capital to the outside world without violence and racial hatred. But both thugs and a group of dissident posters throw a spanner in the works. When he falls in love with art student Anna Kollmann, who belongs to the subversives of all people, his life is thrown off course.
