The new semester of JUNGE UNI in Bocholt starts in mid-February with a varied programme for children and young people aged 6 to 18. The highlight is the annual kick-off event at the Westfälische Hochschule Bocholt with an impressive show lecture and an innovative student project.
The JUNGE UNI in Bocholt (JUBoh for short), an extracurricular educational institution for children and young people aged 6 to 18, is starting the new summer semester with a varied programme. The current range of courses has been available on the homepage www.juboh.de since 30 January 2025. Registration for the courses is possible from 6 February 2025.
A special highlight is the big annual kick-off event on 14 February, which heralds the start of the new semester. This will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in Lecture Hall 1 at Westfälische Hochschule Bocholt and will offer exciting insights into the world of science and education. Registration for the event is already open.
The highlight of the opening event is a show lecture by the chemistry didactics department of the University of Münster, which will impressively present the fascinating world of chemistry in several experiments involving the elements. In addition, some pupils from Bocholt will present their winning project, which they developed as part of the "Schüler macht MI(N)T!" programme. An inspiring afternoon that shows what young, curious minds can achieve.
This semester, too, a diverse range of courses awaits all interested children and young people. The focus is once again on the MINT area (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology), which inspires with innovative courses, workshops and excursions: from impressive experiments to practical online offers - the programme offers exciting things for all interests and ages.
