On Sunday, 2 November 2025, Light Sunday will take place in Bocholt city centre from 1-6 pm.

Stroll, shop, marvel and enjoy: Light Sunday in Bocholt is a great experience for young and old alike and whets the appetite for the pre-Christmas season.
20 illuminated 3D figures in the city centre, such as Archibald the owl, await numerous visitors. As dusk falls, two enchanting light creatures on stilts provide magical moments.
Highlights on this day include a high-calibre fire show at 4 pm and an impressive light show at 5.30 pm. Be enchanted by fantastic flame, spark, light and pyrotechnic effects in front of the illuminated historic town hall.
Shops open
The shops invite you to stroll and browse between 1pm and 6pm.
Free parking
Parking is free on this day. A free bus service will be provided by StadtBus Bocholt.

The event is organised by Stadtmarketing Bocholt on behalf of the Immobilien- und Standortgemeinschaft (ISG) Altstadt Bocholt and the advertising associations of Neutorplatz and Shopping Arkaden, with the friendly support of Bocholter Energie- und Wasserversorgung.
