The LernWerk
The new centre for culture and education
Bocholt's culture and education has a new home: the LernWerk in the kubaai neighbourhood.
The LernWerk has emerged from the former Herding spinning mill, the oldest building in kubaai, and will serve as a new home for many cultural and educational organisations.
The adult education centre, music school, JUNGE UNI and cultural administration are moving into 6,000 m² of floor space. In addition, the Borken district learning centre with its library, the German-foreign societies and the integration council will also find a new home.
The neighbouring building is available to the independent cultural association (KUKUG - Bocholter Kunst- und Kulturgemeinschaft) as a studio, exhibition and event space.
