Fundraising for Ukraine
Information about the gift campaign
Under the motto "Bocholt hilft Werchniodniprowsk - wir helfen mit!", the city of Bocholt is launching a Christmas campaign for children in Ukraine together with the Rotary Club Bocholt, the Bocholt Volunteer Agency and the "Helfende Hände" group of the St. Josef parish. The children in the city of Verkhniodniprovsk, with which Bocholt has maintained a solidarity partnership since 2023, are to be made happy at Christmas with presents in a shoebox.
The packs are for the age groups 0-5 years, 6-10 years and 11-16 years. The contents should be briefly listed on the parcel, as this is required for customs. Of course, it must be known whether the gift is for a boy or a girl or for both.
Gift ideas
The following items are a gift idea for the Christmas parcels in the shoe box: writing utensils, toys and craft items, sweets as well as hats, scarves and gloves. It is important that the items are new or in perfect condition. Used or defective items, war toys, pocket knives, liquids, fragile items, German-language books, food and medicines may not be packed.
Collection points and delivery
The parcels can be delivered to the Bocholt Volunteer Agency, Langenbergstraße 18, 46397 Bocholt, and the Bocholt City Information Office in the Gigaset building, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 52 - 58, 46395 Bocholt, by Wednesday, 11 December 2024 at the latest. If you don't have a box to hand, you can collect one from the Bocholt Volunteer Agency.
A sign of solidarity
On 15 December 2024, a lorry will take the packed presents from Bocholt to Verkhniodniprovsk with other relief supplies. They will be there in time for Christmas and will be distributed to the children in need.
