Strictly speaking, there are 21 pieces on it, but even more precisely, TOM LIWA never really had a hit. This opulent retrospective covers almost forty years of exciting work, with an unreleased song (Die I Threes singen) as a frame-breaking encore.
LiWA , an independent voice who has become an integral part of the local cultural landscape and who has toured with the Leuchtturband and solo, will be playing a series of concerts in the wake of the release and promises to concentrate on the 20 POWER HITS material.
Nine of the 21 songs on 20 POWER HITS alone have appeared on FLOWERPORNOES albums. So what could be more natural than to play the anniversary concerts with the band that started it all back then and that has been providing high-energy, very special career moments ever since. Birgit 'BBQ' Quentmeier, Markus Steinebach and Liwa have been making music together for over forty years - even drummer Giuseppe Mautone has been with the band for almost fifteen years. It is no exaggeration to speak of a groupmind not unlike Neil Young and Crazy Horse or the Dead.
