As always in December, singing is the focus of the Bocholt Jazz Evening. We have been following this tradition for 23 years now. This year Henning Gailing has invited the Stuttgart singer Barbara Bürkle. Silvia Droste, our vocal guest last year, says about Bürkle: "(...) Wow, I'm really thrilled! After a long time, finally a real jazz singer in German lands, with soul and sound, with heart and brain...great arrangements...super intonation and exemplary timing." And the well-known US-American singer Dee Dee Bridgewater adds: "You've got a wonderful gift - just keep doing what you do!"
Bürkle is accompanied by the outstanding pianist Thilo Wagner, Henning Gailing on double bass and the drummer Felix Ambach, who recently lived in New York. You can look forward to a swinging jazz evening with a top-class line-up!
