A Cinematic Experience In Modern Creative Music

The music of the Henning Neidhardt Trio can now be described as "pouw, zisch, pfiiii, knark, pfooi and pwieuw" or, as the specialist magazine Jazzthing put it, "in the improvisations, a kaleidoscope of sounds unfolds, which you can listen to with concentration, but in which you can also lose yourself". In the end, all of this is entirely up to the listener and so Henning Neidhardt, Duy Luong and Karl-F. Degenhardt invite their audience on a journey into their own thoughts, memories and the future. The three musicians met while studying jazz at the Folkwang University of the Arts, have been playing together in this formation since 2019 and have been developing their very own experimental soundscapes ever since.

On this afternoon in the Alte Molkerei, the trio will also present three of their short films and incorporate them into their soundscapes. The musicians Lea Pleines on the harp, Qin Tang on the Chinese guzheng and Shabnam Parvaresh on the bass clarinet will be introduced.
