The LUX Audience Award has been organised by the European Parliament since 2020. Bocholt is taking part for the first time in 2024. Citizens are invited to vote on the five nominated films. Half of the votes will be included in the final result for the film award. Participants can win a ticket to the award ceremony in Brussels.
The film "Auf der Adamant" is the third of the films nominated for the LUX Audience Award. The documentary film "On the Adamant" by French director Nicolas Philibert is about a unique day clinic: a floating structure on the Seine in the heart of Paris. This place is an anchor in time and space for adults with mental disorders. The film invites us to go on board and meet the patients and carers who fill the centre with life day after day. The film lasts 109 minutes, is rated 0+ and is shown in French with German subtitles.
After the screening, EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt will be available to answer questions about the film. Guests are asked to bring their mobile phones to the event.
