Retail and entertainment venue concept

In 1998, the city of Bocholt adopted an urban planning concept for retail development and centre structure for the first time. The first and second updates from 2005 and 2011 were further updated, most recently in 2018.

It sets the framework for retail development in the city as a whole, particularly with regard to local retail.

In October 2018, the city council resolved to update the city of Bocholt's retail concept as an urban development concept.

In order to better control the establishment of amusement arcades and other amusement centres, Bocholt has a"amusement centre concept". In December 2021, the city council decided to update the city of Bocholt's amusement centre concept as an urban development concept in accordance with Section 1 (6) No. 11 BauGB.
