Where it hums and buzzes...
The Business and Biodiversity funding programme focuses on Bocholt-based companies, the Bocholt retail sector, associations and organisations, foundations, cooperatives, church communities and legal entities.
The aim of the funding programme is to bring more colour, life and diversity to Bocholt's company premises. The outdoor areas of companies become a green calling card and at the same time offer new habitats for animals and plants.
The focus is on native flowering plants and shrubs as well as wetland biotopes and an increase in structural diversity. Skilfully selected, native shrubs, flowering plants and perennials provide nectar, leaves, fruit, hiding places and nesting sites all year round.
Near-natural structures such as dead wood and stone gaps or nesting sites in the form of nesting aids are also important for insects and other animal species.
