UFO - No wish is indifferent

In the year 2164, five friends go on a weekend trip to the space station "Overfly 2". There, the young space tourists are offered an unusual programme: "Space Dance", "Space Bungee", "Space's Next Top Model". A special attraction: small space scooters that can be rented for short trips into space. On the ride in one of these mini spaceships, they encounter a mysterious UFO. They manage to trick the scooter's autopilot. Driven by curiosity and a thirst for adventure, they pursue the UFO, getting further and further away from the space station. A dreamlike trip that soon turns into a nightmare.
"UFO - Kein Wunsch ist schnuppe" is a turbulent play about adventure and longing for the unknown, about shooting stars and wishes, loneliness and sadness, joy and love - a trip through the cosmos of human emotions. This is matched by rousing "spacey" music with pop and jazz touches by musical author Gerhard A. Meyer. Under the direction of music school teacher Stefanie Bergmann and Luanda Schillings, more than 50 children aged five to 17 have been rehearsing their roles and songs every week for almost a year. The "JeKits Musical Choir" of the Maria Montessori School in Bocholt is also taking part again. But it's not just singing and acting, various dances have also been rehearsed together with dance coach Floralie Reiff. "This year, the musical performances will be presented in the Euregiohalle for the first time," reports musical director Stefanie Bergmann. In order to give all spectators the opportunity to watch, there will therefore be four performances at once, says Bergmann. "We have come up with lots of great props and stage sets so that we will transform the hall into an exciting outer space," Bergmann looks forward to the four performances.
