Hotel Residenz, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 28-32, 46395 Bocholt.
The topic
What does a tech provider actually do? He acts as an interface between the industry experts and the professors at the university. Its aim is to make the opportunities for collaboration more transparent and to increase the number of successful industrial research projects. Networking, company visits and active participation in industry events create a direct exchange that promotes long-term cooperation.
The speaker
Darren Ajuzie, a 26-year-old research assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Bocholt and now also a Tech Provider, has completed an interdisciplinary educational path: With a high school diploma in Canada, a Bachelor of Science in Bionics at the WHS in Bocholt and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on robotics, also at the WHS in Bocholt, he has a diverse educational background. In addition to his academic training, Darren Ajuzie has already gained some experience in science and business and founded his own company - Tiziare GbR - two years ago. A company that analyses automation potential in industry, installs service robots and digitalises operational processes.
In the Business Break, he will introduce himself and his work as a tech provider as well as his collaboration with WHS and companies in Bocholt and the region. He will talk about industrial research, motivation for research and the usual process from getting to know each other to research. He will provide an example based on a research project. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
