Business Break for
Thursday, 31 October 2024, 7:30 am to 9:00 am,
Hotel Residenz, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 28-32, 46395 Bocholt.
The topic
Artificial intelligence is one of the drivers of innovation and will permanently change the way we live, work and interact with each other. Only a few years have passed from the first attempts and the first adaptation to today's status quo and it feels like we are only at the beginning of the development.
The speaker
Christoph Nienhaus, a "native of Bocholt", found his home in the financial sector early on. After completing a traditional apprenticeship as a bank clerk at the former Kreissparkasse Borken, Christoph Nienhaus quickly realised that the topic of finance is closely linked to the topic of technology and specialised in the field of IT via the second educational path. After a brief excursion into industry, Christoph Nienhaus took over operational responsibility for the voice dialogue systems and contact centre division at Citigroup in 2002. At an early stage, he laid the foundations for high technology in the field of speech recognition, automated case-closing banking transactions and intelligent control of process chains to optimise response and processing times for 14 countries and almost 1 million customer contacts per day. At the beginning of 2008, he moved on to the next major American corporation, Cisco Systems Inc - from customer and system user to manufacturer.
Christoph Nienhaus started as a project manager for internal IT projects in the roof region, but decided to focus more on IT management and was IT Manager and CIO for Germany and Central Europe for more than 10 years. Since 2021, he has been responsible for the customer success of the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe as Customer Success Executive. Due to his many years of experience in setting up and operating a global IT organisation, together with his industry knowledge of the financial sector, Mr Nienhaus deals extensively with strategic challenges and transformations in the financial sector as well as the resulting implications for society.
Christoph Nienhaus endeavours to present complex interrelationships in a simple and tangible way and to highlight "side effects and risks" as well as "opportunities and possibilities".
