World Children's Day

Kick-off of the Intercultural Week 2023

Every year on World Children's Day, numerous initiatives across Germany draw attention to the situation of children with various campaigns.

World Children's Day is also celebrated in Bocholt - as the kick-off event for Intercultural Week 2023. This year it will take place on Friday, 22 September 2023 from 3-6 pm at Kapu (St.-Josef-Gymnasium) .

You can expect a colourful stage programme and lots of great creative and exercise activities, which you can use free of charge. For example, you can

- romp around on the bouncy castle,

- test yourself in bungee jumping,

- build your own rocket car,

- slip into a different role with face painting,

- shine with your new glitter tattoo,

- or design your own cappy

So drop by! We look forward to seeing you!

By the way, the motto of this year's World Children's Day is: Every child needs a future! The German Children's Fund and UNICEF Germany are calling for a stronger political commitment to a fair and liveable future for young people, especially in light of the current conflicts and their consequences (Ukraine war, climate change and pandemic). No child must be left behind!
