"There's still something to come" - The special film

Lebensabend anders als erwartet // German comedy // Kinodrom // 6 Euro

The smartly dressed leading lady is up to her arms in a floor well and looks stressed upwards. The garden can be seen through the floor-to-ceiling living room window.

At the latest when Helga crashes through the floor of her living room, she realises that she is stuck. It has been two years since her husband left her for another woman. Everything changes when her cleaning lady goes on holiday and sends the Polish worker Ryszard as a replacement.

Initially himself the target of Helga's displeasure, Ryszard soon becomes her confidant despite language barriers. In the protection of their own four walls, the two become closer. But when Helga's family and friends find out, she finds it difficult to admit to Ryszard and her feelings. Will Helga sacrifice her young, late happiness to social conventions...?
