Open Garden Gate in Bocholt

This year, too, there is the opportunity to go on a foray into Bocholt's private gardens. On Sundays, 14 and 21 May, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., the new season will be opened on the occasion of "ball time" in the Paus and Zweil garden. The garden visit is combined with a fundraising campaign for Omega Bocholt e.V..

On the occasion of the impressive blooming of ornamental garlic, the Open Garden Gate Bocholt will start the new season on Sundays, 14 and 21 May, 11 am to 6 pm.

Anyone who wants to enjoy the lush spring flowers is welcome in the garden of Susanne Paus and Peter Zweil, Im Osteresch 7. Because of its decorative, mostly purple-coloured inflorescences, the ornamental garlic is becoming increasingly popular.

The stately bulbous plant is accompanied by early perennials such as columbine, night violet, lungwort and cranesbill. Woody plants such as snowball and lilac are also in bloom. In many places, lovely pot and decorative arrangements provide additional inspiration.

Proceeds for Verein Omega Bocholt e.V.

The Terrace Cafe invites you to linger and enjoy. At the first event on 14 May, it is traditionally handed over to the care of Omega Bocholt e.V..

The proceeds from the café counter will go entirely to the association. In past years, the volunteers were able to enjoy a great willingness to donate through the same commitment, which they would like to build on. The hospice association supports and relieves seriously ill and dying people and their relatives and would like to use this day to provide information about its invaluable areas of work.

As always, the "Open Garden Gates" campaign also serves a good purpose. A small entrance fee, which will be charged, will also go proportionately to Omega as a donation.

"We are celebrating the 15th anniversary of our garden this year," says Susanne Paus. "The campaign would be very happy to have more members at the moment".
