Home Nature - The Special Film

Tuesday 26 September// 8 pm// Kinodrom// 6 Euro// Culture pass possible// Documentary film narrated by Benno Fürmann with an impulse lecture by NABU-Bocholt through Christoph Paffrath on the initiative of "Europe Direct Bocholt".

From the sea with beach, to the heath and up to the mountains. These three landscapes are arranged horizontally one on top of the other and can be seen with typical animals in each case.

Did you know that in Germany only 14 percent of the total area is built on? But wherever humans appear, the ecosystem threatens to collapse.

How can native animals and plants continue to survive against the changes caused by humans? How do we shape and destroy, protect and shape nature with our everyday lives? Narrated by actor Benno Fürmann, nature filmmaker Jan Haft shows us the multifaceted life of nature in the Federal Republic of Germany. From the beaches of the North and Baltic Seas to the Alpine peaks in the south. "Heimat Natur" shows us with a cinematic eye and fantastic images why it is so important to preserve the green world on our doorstep.

100 minutes, Director: Jan Haft

About the special film campaign

The film series "KINO Bocholt - der besondere Film" has existed since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture and the Kinodrom Bocholt. The aim is to present unusual films - which would otherwise not be shown in Bocholt - to an interested audience of all ages at a reasonable price. As a rule, selected films are shown every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
