DIE KREUZIGUNG - a one-person play by and with SEBASTIAN APERDANNIER
A staged reading with music
THE CRUCIFIXION - The crucifixion of Jesus is examined from three different perspectives: On the one hand, the soldier who strikes Jesus on the cross has his say, on the other the criminal crucified with Jesus and finally Joseph, who has to witness the execution of his own son. Beyond what we know from the Gospel accounts, these three perspectives sharpen and scrutinise our own view of the cross.
Sebastian Aperdannier, a passionate actor and author from Münster, is no stranger to Bocholt. With his performances, he always manages not (only) to entertain visitors, but also to make them aware, to think for themselves, to think outside the box and to sharpen their focus.
A chamber music ensemble under the direction of regional cantor Werner Hespe will accompany the individual sections of this scenic reading with appropriate music, giving the audience time to reflect on what they have just seen and heard or simply to take a musical break.
Admission is free. As always, the proceeds from donations will go to a humanitarian cause.
