German-Dutch border talks in the Aalten Council Chamber

On Thursday, 13 February, this year's kick-off event for the popular further education series "German-Dutch Border Talks" will take place. The venue this time is the council chamber of the Dutch municipality of Aalten. The mayor of Aalten, Anton Stapelkamp, will speak about local politics and the council of the border municipality. The event starts at 19:30. Attendance is free of charge.

In the first half of the year, a total of three events will be offered in the binational further education series. Interested citizens on both sides of the border are cordially invited to attend. No knowledge of Dutch is required; translation will be provided on site. The discussion will follow the motto "Everyone in their own language".

On 13 February 2025 at 19:30, Anton Stapelkamp, Mayor of Gemeente Aalten, will talk about local politics and the council of the municipality of Aalten in the council chamber in Aalten (Markt 7) and discuss with those present. The adult education centre (VHS) accepts registrations online at www.vhs-bocholt.de, by telephone on 02871 / 953 2277 and by email to vhs(at)bocholt(dot)de, quoting course number BT1110A.

The municipality of Aalten would like to point out that the entrance to the council chamber is not located at Markt 7, but on the Bredevoortsestraatweg side in Aalten. There are car parks around the town hall in the so-called blue zone. Additional parking spaces are available at the Albert Heijn supermarket.
