Alfred Johnson are a Lower Rhine hard rock formation, founded in 2018 in the Viller Mühle near Goch. The initial trio soon became a quintet and since there was a lack of both talent and patience for playing cover songs, they quickly started working on their own songs.

Alfred Johnson write and produce their own songs and publish them mainly on the internet. The songs are characterised by a hard guitar sound paired with rough to melodic vocals and catchy lyrics. Asked about their musical influences, the Johnsons first shrug their shoulders, then mumble something about Metallica, Herman van Veen, Muse, Megadeth and the Sisters of Mercy.

All of the band members once lived in the savings village of Kessel and still enjoy living in the metropolitan region of Goch-Kleve. Unfortunately, there are only a limited number of stages and performance opportunities here, which has led the band to more distant destinations such as Krefeld, Straelen and Cologne in recent months. Even in the face of exorbitant fuel prices, this is set to continue in the near future.
