"A little piece of the cake" - The special film
Subversive comedy about a seventy-year-old widow in Iran who decides to revive her love life.
Mahin is 70 years old and lives alone in her native Tehran, Iran. Her husband has passed away and her daughter lives in Europe with her grandchildren. Over afternoon tea with her friends, they broach the subject of a new romance.
A spontaneous meeting in a restaurant quickly turns into a serious relationship. She spends many evenings together with the taxi driver and veteran Faramarz, where she breaks all the rules of the morality police.
The film was confiscated in Iran and the team was prevented from leaving the country and interrogated. The judgements are still pending. The film only made it to cinemas because a version was already outside Iran.
