FW Bocholt: Fire and rescue service of the city of Bocholt in action several times

Bocholt (ots) - On Friday, 7 March, the fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt were very busy throughout the day. Over the course of the day, the emergency services had to respond several times to fire alarm systems in the city area. Fortunately, all of these were false alarms, meaning that no major damage was caused.

This morning, the Borken district's Organisational Head of Rescue Services, who is currently provided by the Bocholt fire brigade, was alerted to a major fire in Borken. Despite the dramatic situation on site, the victims were quickly treated. Fortunately, transport to hospital was not necessary.

In the midday hours, a road accident occurred on the city boundary between Rhede and Bocholt. Two people were slightly injured in the incident. Bocholt's ambulance service quickly rushed to the scene of the accident, treated the injured and transported them to St Agnes Hospital. Meanwhile, the Rhede fire brigade was also deployed to clean up any spilt fuel and thus prevent further danger.
