Worth reading: Experts present new books and favourites

Tuesday, 25 February, 7:30 pm at Bocholt City Library - register now // From the cultural series "Bocholt reads!"

On Tuesday, 25 February, the "Bocholt liest!" event series kicks off with the first edition of the year. Under the title "Lesenswert - Buchneuheiten und Lieblingsbücher", three literature experts from bookshops and libraries will present exciting new publications and personal reading recommendations at Bocholt City Library. Book lovers are invited to be inspired and discover literary treasures. The event starts at 19:30.

Fiction expert Klaudia Kroesen from Bocholt City Library joins Jenny Bennemann from the Seitenblick bookshop and Laura Schneider from the Mayersche bookshop to take a look at the publishers' first new releases.

The flair of the Leipzig Book Fair in the library

"A whole host of new novels are being published just in time for the Leipzig Book Fair, with a colourful potpourri of all genres of fiction. We've had a look at the publishing programmes and I'm delighted to be able to present a few highlights to our guests", says Klaudia Kroesen from the city library.

The three book experts will not only sum up the new spring releases, but will also give an exclusive insight into their current favourite books, provide inspiration for their own reading wish lists and be on hand to answer questions. According to the organisers, this will bring the flair of the book fair to Bocholt for an evening in a relaxed atmosphere. All participants will receive a list of the titles presented to give them an overview.

The event is supported by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre. Tickets are available in advance for 4 euros at www.vhs-bocholt.de, at the VHS office or at the city library. Tickets cost 5 euros at the box office.
