Warning strike in the public sector: Minor restrictions possible for Wednesday, 12 March
Waste collection in Bocholt takes place, but bin emptying may be delayed
The Verdi trade union has called for warning strikes in the public sector on Wednesday, 12 March 2025. As things stand, the city of Bocholt is expecting only minor restrictions to public services.
Possible effects, especially on waste collection, cannot be predicted with certainty at present. Depending on staff availability, there may be restrictions here tomorrow, Wednesday. However, the waste disposal and service company (ESB) is endeavouring to ensure that both the waste collection areas and the recycling centre are staffed with the available personnel.
As the extent of participation in the warning strike cannot be estimated, waste bins due to be emptied in the relevant districts should be put out for collection on Wednesday as usual by 6 a.m. at the latest. The bins should remain on the street as usual collection times may be postponed and the bins may not be emptied until later in the day.
No or only minor strike-related restrictions are expected in the citizen-intensive contact points at Neutor (citizens' office) and in the arcades (job centre).
