Woodhaus writes songs that carry you through the day. His musical cosmos ranges from the sound of the 70s and 80s to modern synth-pop. Rousing feel-good music with a pinch of emotion.
As the sixth child in a family of musicians, it is hardly surprising that Samuel Holzhauser has chosen the path of a musician. From a young age, he was heavily influenced by his parents and siblings, who instilled in him everything from the Beatles to Queen to Billy Joel, and much more. He soon took guitar lessons, first classical, then electric, and soon took a liking to singing. At the age of 16, he started writing songs and recording them in his room on an old PC. One thing led to another and he soon realised that music was more than just a hobby. And so he left his home in the south to find like-minded people, which eventually brought him to Osnabrück, where he is currently studying pop singing at the Institute of Music.
On his way there, he gathered many new (and old) inspirations from artists such as John Mayer, Toto, James Taylor and Charlie Puth. And if you listen carefully to him and his band, you will definitely notice these influences in Woodhaus' music.
