Municipal health guides to help citizens
New project for better networking in the healthcare sector // Funded by IKK classic
In future, they will help to better network municipal health structures in Bocholt: the municipal health pilots. Employees from various areas have now been trained by a team from DSPN (Dein starker Partner für Netzwerke).
"We want to reach people in their living environment - where they live, learn, work, study, receive medical and nursing care, organise their leisure time and do sport", says DSPN project manager Sophie Engels.
The city of Bocholt received a funding commitment for the "Communal Health Guide" project from the health insurance company IKK classic back in May of this year. Training courses for participants from different areas of society have now been held at the Europahaus on Adenauerallee in Bocholt.
According to the DSPN, the municipal health guides are intended to empower citizens through various measures to ensure healthy and self-determined behaviour in the long term.
The training courses to become a municipal health pilot take place partly in person and partly online, and teach both legal principles and prevention and health promotion measures. Project management is also part of the Municipal Health Guides course.
According to the DSPN, the municipal health guides, together with network partners, serve as a central interface in the fields of action of health promotion and prevention in all areas of life. The health guides are in constant contact within moderated working groups.
