"Fit in old age": Renowned health expert speaks in Bocholt

How to stay physically and mentally fit in old age: Nobody knows this better than the internationally renowned health expert Prof Dr Ingo Froböse. He is a university professor for prevention and rehabilitation in sport at the German Sport University Cologne. On Tuesday, 18 October, he will be speaking in Bocholt and revealing what it takes to stay active for a long time in old age. The event starts at 5 p.m. in the Benölkenplatz canteen. Admission is free.

The event is also the closing event of "Fit im Alter", a sub-initiative of the "Zukunftsstadt Bocholt" project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
After the welcoming address on 18 October, the "Fit in old age" programme will be presented, the aim of which was to make the city an interesting place for exercise and activity and thus strengthen the health of its citizens. Many Bocholters have taken part in various activities over the past few years. This will be followed by Froboese's one-hour lecture entitled "Healthy community - focus on senior citizens' health".
