Virtual auction starts on 30 January - preview now available
On Thursday, 30 January, the next online auction of municipal lost property in Bocholt will begin. Various items such as bicycles, electronic items, smartphones and other finds from the city's evidence room will be auctioned off. Interested parties can now view a preview of the items to be auctioned on the Internet.
The auction of lost property from Bocholt can be accessed via the website www.sonderauktionen.net; simply select "City of Bocholt" from the selection list under "Auctions by...". The lost property is listed in various categories and can be called up individually. Each item is accompanied by details of its condition, state and special features. The auction will be activated on 30 January at 6 pm. From this point onwards, bids can be made by mouse click for ten days. The countdown runs backwards.
Countdown starts backwards
To bid, interested parties must register with a member name and password. A maximum and final price is set at the start of the auction. A countdown begins, which runs backwards, meaning that the price decreases in cent increments from the maximum to the minimum bid over the specified auction duration. A ticking clock indicates when the next bidding level is reached.
Bargain hunters have two options: The "Buy Now" function can be used to bid immediately. In this case, the price at which the current countdown stops is payable. The second option is to place a maximum bid. If the falling price reaches this bid, the item is automatically purchased.
Bank transfer only, no cash payment
Items purchased online must be collected from the Bocholt Citizens' Office after purchase on presentation of an e-mail receipt, which will be sent after the auction. An appointment must be made in advance at the Citizens' Office. Exceptions are bicycles that must be collected from the Bocholt waste disposal and service company (ESB) on Schaffeldstraße.
Payment can only be made by bank transfer, not in cash. Items can only be dispatched by prior arrangement. If you have any questions, please contact the Citizens' Office on 02871 / 953-2400 or buergerbuero(at)bocholt(dot)de.
