Vandalism on the playground "Am Rosenberg"

Hanging ladder vandalised // City appeals to report damage and soiling

In the first week of January, local residents reported damage to a piece of playground equipment at the "Am Rosenberg" playground. Some of the fixings on the handrail ladder there were torn out. The equipment is closed until further notice for safety reasons.

"Unfortunately, vandalism and littering are not isolated incidents and occur again and again in playgrounds. This is not only a shame because of the play equipment, some of which then has to be expensively repaired or cleaned, but also very dangerous for the children playing there", according to the city's youth welfare office.

The city of Bocholt spends a lot of work and money every year to keep the playgrounds in a safe and good condition for children, families and young people. Users and residents are therefore asked to report vandalism and hazards on Bocholt playgrounds as well as soiling, e.g. from dog faeces, directly. Damage can be reported by calling 02871 953-175.
