Excursion tip: First Bocholt Blue Light Day

Sunday, 22 May, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Kubaai-Areal on Industriestrasse

Next Sunday, 22 May, Bocholt's blue light organisations will gather for the first Bocholt Blue Light Day. In the Kubaai* area on Industriestrasse, around the Podium Bridge, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., young and old can expect a variety of different blue light vehicles, deployment scenarios, hands-on activities as well as fun and games for the whole family.

The Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), the Deutsche-Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft (DLRG), the Deutsche Rote Kreuz (DRK), the Bocholt fire brigade, the Malteser Hilfsdienst (MHD), the police, the Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) and customs will all be taking part.

One of the highlights will be the various operational demonstrations, which will focus on the cooperation between the various blue light organisations. Other main attractions include the various emergency vehicles and equipment on display from the organisations, as well as the animal support provided to the emergency services in the form of rescue dogs.

The Bocholt Blue Light Day is intended to strengthen the voluntary commitment of the blue light organisations.

The Bocholt Blue Light Day is part of the celebrations surrounding Bocholt's 800th anniversary. All information at https://bocholt800.de/events/bocholter-blaulichttag/.

*What is "Kubaai"?

The abbreviation "Kubaai" stands for "Kulturquartier Bocholt Aa und Industriestraße" and describes the transformation of a historic industrial wasteland into a new urban quarter between Bocholt city centre and Lake Aa. A striking element of the neighbourhood is the large podium bridge. Information at www.kubaai.de.
